'Considering a career in the electrical power industry? This MSc will equip you with the essential knowledge and skills to succeed. You’ll explore key topics such as sustainable energy generation, the complexities of electrical energy transmission and storage in smart networks, and the optimization of power supply to end-users. Understanding existing infrastructure is vital for designing future energy networks, but keeping abreast of emerging solutions is equally important. Our program provides a robust foundation in generation, transmission, and distribution engineering, while also addressing broader issues like renewable energy, sustainability, and energy policy.
Tailor your learning journey to your interests and career goals through a diverse selection of modules and an individual project. Plus, you'll have access to research facilities, including our high-voltage laboratory and dedicated electrical engineering learning workspace.
Information for international students
If English is not your first language, you will need to demonstrate your English ability by meeting our Band C requirements: IELTS 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in all components. For information on other accepted English language tests, please see our website.
