Course content

This programme is designed to give graduates a deep mathematical, theoretical and practical understanding of how machine learning and deep learning works. Students will engage with the latest research ideas whilst learning how to build, train and evaluate modern models. Successful graduates would have the skills required to work as machine learning engineers and machine learning scientists in a variety of industries.

The programme is research-led, with students interacting with the latest research, and undertaking a significant research project of their own. Our objective in designing the programme was to not just teach the latest research, but to give graduates the skills to be able to understand the research papers of tomorrow. The programme also gives graduates a solid groundwork in the critical thinking and research skills necessary for further study at PhD-level.
