Course content
Our PhD programme provides access to state-of-the-art facilities and allows you to be part of the cutting-edge, world-leading research taking place in chemistry. You’ll be supported to become a professional scientist able to carry out excellent scientific research, make professional presentations, write high-quality research reports and benefitting from enhanced leadership skills. Develop a broad range of skills through a lively research environment, participation at national and international conferences and publication in leading scientific journals. The majority of our students go on to successful research careers in academia or industry.
Information for international students
If English is not your first language, you will need to demonstrate your English meets our Band C: For IELTS, this is 6.5 overall, with minimum 6.0 in all components. For information on other accepted English language tests, please see the website.
