Course content

Secure your passport to a clinical academic career, research management role, or further research training with our interdisciplinary MRes programme. Aimed at healthcare practitioners, it is a component of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) clinical academics training pathway and will equip you with the skills and knowledge to engage in all aspects of clinical, healthcare or academic research. It is ideal if you are working in a clinical research environment but don’t hold a healthcare qualification or as preparation for clinical academic doctoral fellowship applications.

Typical modules include: Applied Qualitative Research Methods; Applied Quantitative Research Methods; Clinical Research in Practice; Developing Research Skills; Designing and Conducting Clinical Research; Dissertation

Fees and funding

Fully funded NIHR studentships available each year for registered health professionals. Full criteria available online.
