The University of Sunderland was shortlisted as University of the Year, the leading category in this year’s THE – Times Higher Education – annual awards.

The University has approximately 20,000 students at its four campuses worldwide, in Sunderland, London and Hong Kong, and with our international partners in 14 countries around the world. There are a wide range of courses available across its five faculties: Arts and Creative Industries; Business, Law and Tourism; Education and Society; Health Sciences and Wellbeing; and Technology.

Scholarships and discounts

If you are a University of Sunderland graduate (alumni) you will be awarded a 20% tuition fee discount if you return to study a postgraduate course at Sunderland.

The Skills Boost North East Discount is a fee waiver of 20% on the full cost of course fees for all postgraduate taught Masters programmes of study (subject to terms and conditions), to any worker who has been furloughed or made redundant, or is likely to be made redundant, is self-employed and/or a small business owner, and who has a local connection to the North East region.

All international students studying a taught, postgraduate course will benefit from a £1,000 scholarship in the form of a tuition fee discount which is automatically deducted. International research degree students are awarded a £1,500 discount.
