At Warwick, we focus on breaking new ground every day. We are committed to research that is internationally leading, impactful, and provocative. It will change the world, making lives healthier, safer, more resilient, more just and more fulfilled.

An example of this is our global research priorities. These respond to complex global challenges in areas such as cyber security, food and energy by using interdisciplinary thinking to develop real-world solutions.

We have been independently recognised for the quality and impact of research, ranking 7th among UK research universities in the Research Excellence Framework, 2014.

Teaching and Learning

At Warwick, teaching is at the heart of everything we do. Our reputation for research allows us to attract staff who are among the very best in their respective fields.

This means our students are challenged and inspired to think critically and innovatively, helping you develop independent learning skills alongside structured teaching.

This year, The Times and Sunday Times named us University of the Year for Teaching Quality, an accolade that attests to the dedication and inspiration of our teaching staff. Across campus, we offer a range of flexible learning spaces to enhance our students’ teaching and learning experience.

Warwick is more than an institution; it is a community. Our lively campus offers an inclusive environment, full of exciting opportunities outside of study to enrich your student experience. There are more than 300 clubs and societies, giving you the chance to build connections and friendships, whilst enjoying new experiences.

Everything you need is close by on our campus, including shops, banks, bars, cafés and restaurants. You will also find many peaceful places, such as calm lakes and woodland areas.

We are located in Coventry, which has been named 5th best student city in the UK according to QS Best Student Cities, 2022. Our campus is also close to Birmingham and just over an hour’s train ride from London.

Many of our students live in either Coventry or nearby Leamington Spa, which is a short bus ride from campus. It offers plenty of bars, cafés and shops to explore, so you will never be short of things to do.

At Warwick, the future for our students is just as important as the present. We not only offer an enriching academic experience, we also provide extracurricular opportunities to develop important transferable skills that will boost your employability. Ranking in the top 10 most targeted universities by the UK’s top 100 Graduate Employers (High Fliers Research Ltd), Warwick gives you the tools to carve a career path that is right for you.

Every year, through virtual and physical events, we welcome more than 300 organisations from a range of job sectors, helping you build connections and explore career options. Warwick is proud to be named within the UK top 10 for a ‘Career after 15 months’ by The Guardian University Guide 2022.
