Overview

The Project Management MSc is designed to develop the up-to date skills and qualifications needed to become a successful Project Manager, who is able to plan, lead and deliver effective project management across a wide range of business sectors.

Management by Project has become the leading way of maintaining a competitive edge in most industries and businesses, ranging from the very project based, such as fashion, marketing, construction and IT, to those which have not been traditionally project based, such as the public sector, where an increasing number of changes are now being managed as projects.

Projects and Project Management have become an integral part of the modern business environment, ensuring that any change is organized in a professional manner that serves to increase its chances of success. It is now very difficult to find an organization that does not have a number of projects running concurrently, either within individual departments or across the organization. The management of these projects requires a new set of tested skills and a body of knowledge that the Project Management MSc is designed to deliver.

The course is suitable for business, computing engineering, or other graduates with an affinity in organizing, running or participating in projects. In today's business environments, project management and its associated tasks of risk management, quality management and communication management, provide the skills that help us to plan, delegate, monitor and control the increasingly complex projects that allow the top organizations to remain competitive in the global market.

Westminster Business School is an Accredited PRINCE2® Training Organisation so, in addition to the postgraduate qualification, students can obtain the much sought after PRINCE2® certification.

What you'll study

The modules provide the required body of knowledge and exposure to contemporary project management.
