Course content
With a broad range of modules, this International Management MSc equips you with the knowledge and skills to lead in private, voluntary and public organisations.
At Worcester, you’ll learn alongside students from around the world while gaining hands-on experience through placements and expert-led teaching, preparing you to lead in international business from day one.
This course has been mapped for dual accreditation with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). You will be awarded a CMI Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Management & Leadership Practice, in addition to your degree, upon the successful completion of the entire degree.
During your studies, you will also benefit from associate membership to the CMI (at no extra cost), inclusive of an interactive induction session hosted by the CMI, as well as access to the CMI's digital library, resources, and employability skills audit.
Overview
Our MSc in International Management will give you the skills and knowledge to succeed in leadership roles across private companies, charities, and public organisations. You’ll learn how businesses operate around the world and how to manage them effectively on a global scale.
Through real-life case studies, you’ll explore how companies tackle challenges and make decisions. You’ll also build your confidence as a future manager by developing practical skills throughout the course.
In your final project, you’ll apply what you’ve learned to a business topic that interests you. Plus, you can shape your degree to match your career goals by choosing modules that match your interests, whether that’s marketing, sustainability, finance, or another area. This helps you build specialist knowledge and stand out to employers.

Placements
On this course, you’ll have the chance to take a 6 or 12-month work placement.
You’ll be supported throughout, from finding opportunities and applying to preparing your CV and interview skills through dedicated workshops and one-to-one tutorials.
Placements give you real-world experience in a business setting, helping you build your skills and boost your employability. Some students even base their final research project on their placement, using real data and applying course concepts to real challenges.
While on placement, you’ll stay connected to the University with support from a dedicated placements team, regular tutor visits, and full access to resources. At the end, you’ll submit a portfolio including a learning contract, employer feedback, a case study, and a presentation.

The IELTS score for international applicants is 6.5 (with no less than 5.5 in each component). Other English Language qualifications will be considered.
