Entry Requirements:

This is a conversion master’s degree – designed for people who didn’t study psychology at undergraduate level.

To apply you'll need a UK honours degree at 2:2 or above (or equivalent international qualification) in a subject other than psychology.*

*Because this programme is designed as a pathway into psychology, you won’t be eligible if your undergraduate degree is already accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). However, if you’ve studied some psychology before – or hold a non-accredited psychology degree – you can still apply.

This online MSc Psychology is a conversion degree designed for those seeking to transition into the field of psychology. Whether your ambition is to become a Chartered Psychologist or to apply psychological knowledge within your existing career, this course provides the foundation you need.

The curriculum is aligned with the British Psychological Society (BPS) requirements, offering the coverage of core areas such as cognitive, biological, developmental, and social psychology. You’ll also engage with key subjects including ethics, personality theory, and research methods. In addition, you’ll explore emerging areas like cyberpsychology and organisational behaviour before completing an independent research project in an area of personal or professional interest.

Study full-time or part-time and build your learning around work, home and life. You’ll choose when, where and how you study – supported by a clear structure to help you make consistent progress.

This programme is currently pending accreditation by the BPS. If approved, it will provide the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC), the essential first step towards becoming a Chartered Psychologist in the UK.
