Entry requirements
You can expect
- Personal instruction with low student: high tutor ratio per short course

- Attend an introductory course establishing the diploma ethos and programme of drawing and exploration in January, May or September
- Complete a further eight short courses
- Attend a final tenth personal project course online
- Submit a final 2000 word essay, research and development sketchbooks and portfolio of work
- Explore and refine your future career aspirations, completing the diploma with a plan for your next steps

Course content
Develop your creativity and skills within the broad field of art and craft and achieve your diploma at a pace to suit you. This extended course is designed to prepare students with an existing A-level or National Diploma to apply for entry onto an Art and Design related degree programme. You will create a rich and varied portfolio of work, ensure your portfolio reflects your talents and areas of interest and focus on your future career aspirations.
Fees and funding
Bursaries are available from the France Lowe Bursary, closing date 1 April 2025, 5pm based on individual need. Find out more
