You won’t be alone: we’ll be there with help and support, learning and development. You’ll make great friends, discover new talents, and feel part of something exhilarating.

This is your chance to make a real difference to the world. Grab it.

About this role

Management is key in a business like ours, and if we didn’t have commercially savvy people to help keep our business initiatives on track, we’d never be able to get anywhere!

We think the best way for you to learn how a business works is to gain experience in lots of different parts of it. During this apprenticeship, you’ll rotate around our company and complete three 12-month rotations in different business areas, giving you the chance to get involved in things like project management, HR, finance, marketing, transformation, product development and commercial to name a few. We’re a pretty big company so it’s a pretty big list with lots of exciting challenges!

You’ll learn how to take responsibility for projects, communications, operations, and services, all to help deliver long-term success for our clients. Our clients are all businesses, from small companies to FTSE 100 giants; and you’ll need to make sure that whatever project you’re working on has their best interests at heart. It’s not just clients you’ll need to work with, we’re a big business so you’ll need to partner with numerous other stakeholders, too.

You’ll have the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills including decision making, managing stakeholders, team working and lots more beyond that. We’ll also teach you how to communicate clearly with others so you can lead change and develop relationships easily and effectively. You’ll learn this as part of your studies, as well from our amazing colleagues, who’ll be there to support you every step of the way.

Joining this scheme is something that has allowed me to unlock my potential and accelerate my career. I’ve been able to move around different areas of BT; learning all about how we create and deliver the best products for our customers. As an apprentice I’m not in the sidelines watching, I’m at the front, leading with ideas and working out alternatives; I’m here to make a difference. I may have not taken the normal route to university but that doesn't mean I haven’t made some great friends; we are always out doing something! The pure size and scale of BT means there are always new opportunities and areas to get involved in – it never gets boring! 2021 intake apprentice.
