Operative Engineer Apprentice

Job description

Schneider Electric’s Level 2 Technical & Engineering Apprentice Pathway offers the opportunity for apprentices to become an Electrician Operative. Within this pathway, you’ll develop a strong understanding of Schneider Electric’s products, in order to validate their functionality, before it is dispatched to customers.

As an Operative Engineer Apprentice, you’ll learn all about Schneider’s products and validate their functionality before it is dispatched to our customers.

You will gain experience in:

  • Assembling units
  • Troubleshooting mechanism issues on the assembly
  • Testing functionality of products
  • Troubleshooting product issues in line with internal Quality criteria

What qualifications do you need?

  • This Pathway is open to applicants with GCSE Maths and English at Grade 3/D or above.
  • Please note, Qualification Requirements can be ‘predicted’, however, must be ‘actual’ by the start date on September 2nd, 2024.

Training

Schneider’s apprenticeship roles are crafted to foster innovation and practical skills meaning you'll gain key industry knowledge/experience recognised by professionals within the field.

As part of this pathway, you’ll undertake the Level 2 Engineering Operative apprenticeship with training to be delivered by Wakefield College over an 18 month period.

You'll also be assigned a 'Buddy' that will act as an additional support point. Your Buddy may be past or current Early Career employee or an experienced team member.
