Here at Birmingham Newman, we are experts in inclusive teaching and learning practice, and we aim to provide a supportive learning environment on our MPH course that can help our students reach their full potential. This is why our MPH course is delivered face-to-face on our university campus, that overlooks the picturesque Bartley Reservoir. You will be supported in using our state of the art facilities and online learning environment, whilst benefiting from time in the classroom with our public health experts.

You will study five core areas: Health Inequalities and Social Justice, Epidemiology and Research Methods, Public Health Policy and Leadership, Health Promotion and Community Engagement, and Global and Environmental Health. These are explored through taught modules and a final research project, giving you the space to reflect, challenge assumptions and apply learning to real-world contexts. You will deepen your understanding of data interpretation, ethics, systems-level change and community-led initiatives. Learning is brought to life through collaborative workshops, applied case studies and meaningful engagement with local partners and experts by experience, helping you build confidence in research, advocacy and inclusive practice.
