About BPP University Law School

With over 25 years’ experience in delivering professional legal qualifications, we have proudly earned our place as one of the largest law schools in the UK.

We pride ourselves on building and shaping legal careers; whatever your level of study or whatever your career aspirations. We will develop you into a commercially-focused and highly employable solicitor, barrister or legal professional.

Our programmes

A successful career in law is about more than just understanding the law itself. With a focus on employability, our programmes are taught in small groups and delivered by experienced tutors who use realistic case studies to thoroughly prepare you for practice.

Depending on your programme of choice, our flexible study options include full-time, part-time, online or face-to-face in one of our eight UK study centres.

Our Career Guarantee

We are so confident that you will secure a training contract or pupillage following your studies with us that we offer our Career Guarantee.

If you don’t secure a training contract or pupillage within six months of completing our LPC , LLM Legal Practice (Solicitors), BPTC or LLM Legal Practice (Barristers), we’ll let you study, for free, another qualification aligned to your career aspirations (T&Cs apply).

Funding and scholarships

If your dream is to pursue a career in law, don’t let the stress of finance stand in your way. Our LLM programmes are eligible for postgraduate funding up to £10,280 through the Student Loans Company.

Postgraduate funding can only be used once, so if you have any queries about how to fund your postgraduate law programme, please contact our admissions department.

We welcome students who have passion, drive and a desire to succeed. That’s why we also offer a wide range of scholarships and bursaries. Find out more and how to apply.

Award-winning Pro Bono Centre

Through our award-winning BPP Pro Bono Centre, you can volunteer for a wide variety of projects. We provide pro bono opportunities at all of our centres, across many areas of law, including employment, housing and family.

This practical experience is an invaluable part of the training you will receive at BPP University Law School, helping you to develop vital legal skills including presentation, research techniques and client communication.

Specialist legal careers advice

BPP University Careers Service offers a comprehensive range of services that support you towards achieving your career goals. We can provide help and support to assist you in securing that all-important training contract or pupillage through careers appointments, CV and application clinics, mock interviews and more.

You will never leave an advice session empty handed. Together, we'll draw up a career action plan which details the steps you should take to achieve your goals.

Connecting you to the legal profession

Through our Law School, Careers Service and Pro Bono Centre, we work with over a wide range of organisations that deliver legal services.

These include chambers, local councils, in-house teams and many leading law firms, from magic circle firms, commercial giants, niche service firms and the names you recognise from the high street. This means that if you have a specialist field of study, we make sure you’ll have connections with the right people to succeed.
