Entry requirements

For entry in this course, learners must meet the following criteria:

• Have UK level 6 diploma, an honours degree, or equivalent qualification.
• Be 21 or older during enrollment.

Learners are expected to have English language proficiency of CEFR Level B2, this can be met in any one of the following ways:

1. Being a native English language speaker
2. Having achieved IELTs 5.5 or equivalent
3. Having done your last two years of schooling in English
4. Passing our online English language test

Overview

The Level 7 Diploma in Accounting and Finance aims to provide learners with a core understanding of specialised & contemporary approaches to finance and accountancy, empirical & theoretical issues, academic research, key practices, and the latest developments in reporting and accountancy requirements from European, national, and local government.

This qualification is specifically designed for learners who want to pursue a professional career in accountancy, finance, management, banking, or the financial services industries. This qualification equips learners with the essential knowledge and skills needed to pursue a high level of career in all private and public sectors, globally. This qualification also provides learners with the opportunity to pursue higher studies in a relevant master’s program with advanced standing.

Duration and Delivery

The qualification is designed to be completed over one year of full-time study. However, we accommodate for completely flexible delivery, so that students can schedule their learning around other commitments such as work or family. The qualification is delivered online through our Virtual Learning Environment.

Assessment and Verification

All units within this course are internally verified by our assessors and externally verified by OTHM. This course is criterion-referenced, based on specific learning outcomes. To achieve a “PASS” for a unit, a student must complete the learning outcomes to meet the assessment criteria set by OTHM.

Equivalence

This course is the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) equivalent to a Master’s degrees. Compared to a Master’s degree, however, the Level 7 Diploma takes less time, and learners can also choose to proceed to the dissertation level of 60 credits with a University to complete a Masters programme.

Progression

This course enables students to progress to a professional career or higher studies. As this qualification is regulated and approved by Ofqual (Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation), students are eligible to progress for Master’s top-up programs at London Graduate School, University of Northampton, and University of Portsmouth.
