Entry requirements
This course is aimed at Interprofessional health and social care professionals, including doctors, nurses, midwives, dentists and allied health and social care professionals, as well as intercalating medical students.
You should normally possess a relevant first degree in health/social sciences, 2:2 or above.
It is essential that you undertake 100 hours of higher education teaching and learning practice involving learners who are studying at undergraduate or postgraduate level across 1 year. This teaching and learning practice can be performed within formal academic or clinical settings but must involve facilitation of learning for students who are studying on higher education programmes and can be interprofessional.
We offer a medical student intercalation programme for this course for 3rd & 4th year medical students from KMMS or other medical schools. Please see the requirements specifically for intercalation at Intercalation for Medical Students for MSc Clinical Education

Taught by expert educators and clinicians in our state-of-the-art Verena Holmes building, you’ll benefit from industry-standard facilities, including advanced simulation suites and the Anatomy Learning Centre.
Graduates of the PGCert stage are eligible to apply for Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) and Membership of the Academy of Medical Educators (AoME), enhancing both professional recognition and career progression.

Module information
Completing the three core modules leads to a Post Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education. You can then progress onto the Post Graduate Diploma by studying the other non core modules. You will also need to complete the Dissertation and Researching Clinical Education to complete the MSc.
