Applicants should have at least an upper second-class honours degree and preferably a specialist master's degree and an interest in pursuing in-depth research in an appropriate area.

Our key to providing you with a profound learning experience is our Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) recognised research methods training provision.
Our Management and Business Studies PhD involves one year of research training followed by three years’ work on your PhD topic. The training in the first year comprises of participation in general and subject-specific modules which leads to a Master’s qualification in Social Science Research Methods.

Information for international students
Applicants whose first language is not English are normally expected to have reached a minimum IELTS score of 7.0 (writing scored 7.0, with no subscore less than 6.5).
