Entry requirements

1st or 2nd class UK Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant science, engineering or related discipline. If you are an international student you will need to provide evidence that you have achieved a satisfactory test result in an English qualification.

Course content

This course is suitable for graduates with science, applied science, engineering or related degrees keen to pursue careers in the development or exploitation of materials; or graduates currently working in industry keen to extend their qualifications; or individuals with other qualifications who possess considerable relevant experience. Our students benefit from the expertise of our highly qualified academics. They have extensive contact with industry, through guest lectures from partner organisations and supporters of group and individual projects. Courses are regularly reviewed by an advisory panel of leading professionals from industry to ensure the content is relevant and meets the expectations of employers.
