Entry requirements

Bachelor degree and/or Masters in any discipline (NQF Level 6 and above)

A recommended minimum of 18 months of work experience (including internships), preferably in areas related to economics, public policy, business and management. Previous experience in the field of Economics is recommended but not required. Students with little experience will be given an additional reading package post-enrolment.

C1 level of English proficiency. Test certificate must be acquired during the previous two years (applicable to non-native speakers who have not studied their degree in English). Further details can be found in the Admissions tab on our programme page.

Due to accreditation regulations, students starting with less than 240 ECTS will need to obtain an additional 30 ECTS at ESCP Business School. The School will offer an additional semester for those students, with a supplement fee of £3,000.
Candidates may be exempt from attending this semester if they have at least three years of relevant full-time work experience, meeting the following criteria:
  • Each role must last a minimum
  • of 5 months.
  • Experiences cannot count towards a previous degree or be linked to any degree validation.
  • Work must not have been completed while studying.
  • Self-employment is not eligible.
  • These three years of experience must be completed by June, prior to Term 1. Candidates with less than four years of experience must provide certificates of full-time employment, including start and end dates, from each employer.

Course content

The MSc in Economics and Policy for Business is an interdisciplinary programme that bridges economics, public policy, and business strategy. Designed in response to global regulatory and economic challenges, it equips students with analytical tools, strategic insight, and applied experience to navigate complex policy environments and drive informed business decisions.

The 15-months of in-class study combine advanced courses in economics and policy with practical training in consulting and business. Delivered across London and Paris, the curriculum is designed to provide both theoretical depth and applied experience, preparing students for careers in international, regulated and policy-driven environments.

Taught by a faculty of academic experts, policymakers, and industry leaders, the programme provides a solid foundation in economic theory, data-driven policy design, and business applications preparing graduates for careers across both public and private sectors.
The specialisation in Economics & Policy for Business is part of the Master Degree (DEAMIE).
Key learning outcomes:
  • Knowledge of Economic & Regulatory Ecosystems — Gain a systematic understanding of organisations, economic systems and regulatory environments to generate original insights into complex relationships between business and the state.
  • Cognitive & Analytical Skills — Cultivate the ability to think critically and analytically about contemporary economic, political and regulatory challenges through the business prism.
  • Research & Enquiry Skills — Train in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, enabling you to design and carry out independent, evidence-based investigations.
  • Practical & Professional Skills — From real-world consulting frameworks to applied economic analysis, practical learning is embedded across the curriculum, culminating in a professional work experience term lasting at least four months.

Information for international students

The MSc in Economics & Policy for Business offers students an option to choose between two entry routes that provide different post-study opportunities. One is in the UK (via the UK Graduate Immigration Route) and the other in France (via the Standard Route). All students will be required to pick and confirm their entry route within the three-week deadline specified on their offer letter.

Tuition fees for the October 2026 intake: £25,800 (all students, EU and non-EU). Travel and living costs are not covered.

Application fee: €130 (non-refundable).

The MEP Future Leaders Scholarship — £5,000

  • Note: Beneficiaries of the FUNED-CONACYT Scholarship (Mexican students) and the COLFUTURO Scholarship (Colombian students) cannot apply for this scholarship.
