Course content

Your gateway to advanced computing.

The Foundation in Computer Science Online at Goldsmiths, University of London is a pre-bachelor’s programme that provides students with a solid foundation in both theoretical and practical computational concepts. As well as learning about and using current tools, languages and approaches in Computing and Computer Science, students will learn about underlying concepts to flexibly embrace new tools, languages and approaches as they arise, future-proofing their learning.

This programme helps you gain essential skills in mathematics, programming and computational theory needed to prepare for degree-level study in computing and related disciplines. To enhance your confidence in using technology in the workplace or in future studies, you’ll take modules on the foundations of programming and mathematics for computing as you develop your understanding of computing concepts and coding languages. Successful completion of this programme will also prepare you for BSc-level Computer Science programmes on campus at Goldsmiths, as well as similar degrees at other universities, with the goal of entering the tech industry.
