Course content

Drawing on the strength of teaching and cutting‑edge research at Imperial College Business School, MSc Economics and Strategy for Business (ESB) prepares students for a dynamic career in business.

You’ll learn to apply analytical techniques to the decision making process and develop an understanding of the relationship between strategic management and core business activities.

The focus of the programme is interdisciplinary, combining advanced modules in both economics and strategy, and is taught by leading scholars in those areas at the intersection of organisational theory and technological innovation. You will be exposed to a broad range of thinking, from corporate governance and financial risk to energy economics, strategy innovation and implementation.

This unique combination provides a valuable platform for you to consider and pursue a more generalist path in business over the course of your career.
