Course content
Gain an in-depth insight into the way global organisations operate and how they need to evolve in today’s rapidly changing landscape – so you can influence and help shape commercially viable business strategies across borders.
Jointly delivered by the Institute for International Management and Entrepreneurship and the Loughborough Business School, this specialist MSc provides the ideal springboard if you’re looking to make your mark in international management.
You’ll gain a strong grounding in all the relevant business theories, while also developing your research and analytical skills – so you can confidently lead on new ideas and insights about international management and strategic growth.
How and why organisations operate the way they do
How do different national and cultural contexts impact the way firms operate? What kind of operations might they commit to in a particular location – and how do businesses need to think about how they work with governments, source funding or deal with issues like corruption depending on where they’re based?
Exploring how these myriad factors influence firms, you’ll learn to apply this contextual understanding to help companies develop commercially viable strategies tailored to the risks and opportunities in each market.
Benefit from research-led teaching
The course draws on the latest research in global business. Working with our academic and industry experts, you’ll learn about everything from the globalisation of economic activity and using flexible teams in different time zones, to the changing patterns of work, sustainability, risk and governance.
The course draws on our considerable expertise and collaborations in emerging market economies including Argentina, China, Brazil and Kenya.
