Loughborough University London is an inspiring postgraduate campus based at Here East, on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London. The building was previously used as the Olympic Press and Broadcast Centre for the 2012 London Olympic Games, and is now a vibrant, exciting community of educators, creatives, students and entrepreneurs.

Institute for Digital Technologies

Everything we do as humans in the 21st Century, from relaxing to socialising and from working to travelling, requires a relationship with digital technology. The Institute for Digital Technologies offers excellence in research and postgraduate teaching across all major areas of digital technologies, including interactive 3D media, advanced 5G systems, big multi-media data, smart living and cybersecurity.

Glendonbrook Institute for Enterprise Development

Research plays a key role in understanding and modelling business success. It has the ability to provide individuals and businesses with the right resources to transform an idea into a reality and a venture into a profitable service. Research at the Glendonbrook Institute for Enterprise Development focuses on the intersection between the entrepreneurial strategy of an organisation and the resulting organisational behaviour.

Institute for Sport Business

The Institute for Sport Business has a research focus on the rapid growth of the sport industry, in an age of significant social, economic and technological change. To address this focus, the Institute is currently conducting research surrounding sport integrity and governance, sport media and digital technology, as well as Sport Communities.

Institute for Media and Creative Industries

The Institute for Media and Creative Industries is committed to discovering, interpreting and critically assessing the inner workings and infrastructures of the media and the creative industries, whilst developing a deeper understanding of the composition and conduct of an audience, particularly in the wake of cultural composition.

Institute for Diplomacy and International Governance

The Academy of Diplomacy and International Governance adopts an interdisciplinary approach in its research areas. These areas deal with national and global issues and their relevance to diplomatic practice, international security, trade and finance and communication.

Applications for taught or research programmes are made using our online application form, and are welcomed all year round. Your application must be supported by documentary evidence of entry qualifications, including English language, academic transcripts and references, which can all be submitted online.

Fees and funding

Scholarships and bursaries

  • Inspiring Success Scholarship

The Inspiring Success Scholarship offers 100% off the full cost of tuition fees for selected unemployed and underemployed graduates, who obtained GCSE or A-level (or equivalent) qualifications from Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Newham or Waltham Forest.

To be considered for this scholarship, students must complete the Inspiring Success scholarship application form. Successful applicants will demonstrate academic excellence and potential, and will outline how they wish to develop their local community on completion of their degree.

Award value: 100% off the full cost of tuition fees
Eligible programmes: All taught masters programmes

  • Dean's Award for Enterprise

The Dean's Award for Enterprise offers 90% off the full cost of master's tuition fees, for UK, EU and international students with an inspiring business idea.

Winners of the award are under no obligation to start a new business, though winners who are serious about launching their own business will receive professional support and advice to turn their idea into a reality.

Award value: 90% off the full cost of tuition fees
Eligible programmes: All full-time taught master's programmes

  • East London Community Scholarship

The East London Community Scholarship offers 50% off the full cost of tuition fees for students who obtained GCSE or A-level (or equivalent) qualifications from Barking and Dagenham, Greenwich, Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets or Waltham Forest.

Award value: Up to 50% off the full cost of tuition fees
Eligible programmes: All taught masters programmes
Closing date: 31st July 2018

  • The Dean's Award for Excellence in Research

The Dean’s Award for Excellence in Research offers 50% off the full cost of MRes tuition fees for students with an inspiring research idea.

Winners of the award are under no obligation to complete a PhD or conduct research into their chosen area, but support and guidance will be available for those who wish to do so.

Award value: 50% off the full cost of tuition fees
Eligible programmes: All full-time MRes programmes
Closing date: 31st July 2018

  • Excellence scholarship

The Excellence scholarship automatically awards high-achieving students 20% off the full cost of our masters tuition fees, regardless of their full-time programme or nationality. To be eligible for this scholarship, students must have an upper-second class degree or equivalent qualification recognised by Loughborough University.

Award value: 20% towards the full cost of tuition fees
Eligible programmes: all full-time taught masters programmes

  • Alumni Bursary

The Alumni Bursary automatically awards graduates of Loughborough University 10% off the full cost of our master's tuition fees, regardless of their full-time programme or nationality. There is no selection process for this scholarship, as all Loughborough University alumni are entitled to this award.
