BA Fine Art and Applied Art - AD 104
Entry requirements
Applicants must meet a minimum standard in their final school exams. In Ireland that is a Leaving Certificate with 2x H5 and 4 x)6/H7 including English and Irish (NUI Irish exemptions are accepted).
Places are offered based on meeting minimum entry requirements and highest portfolio scores. All applicants must submit a portfolio by the first Friday in February. Portfolios should showcase your creative skills and it is a good idea to also submit worksheets/notebooks/sketchpads. Portfolios are scored out of 1000. Scores are sent out in late April and places are offered in August.

Course content
All departments in the School of Fine Art - Media, Painting, Fine Print , Sculpture and Applied Materials - help students to develop a highly individual way of seeing and interpreting, and of expressing themselves visually. Emphasis is placed on visual awareness and artistic analysis, on acquiring skills in the use of both traditional and new materials and media.
