Entry requirements
A 2:1 honours degree, or international equivalent, in any social science or arts and humanities discipline. We will also consider your application on an individual basis if you have lower qualifications and relevant experience.

Course content
Our research training course prepares you for doctoral research. This could be in the social sciences, arts and humanities or in either the public or private sector.
The qualification meets the learning outcomes at certificate level in the national higher education qualifications framework.
This Research Training PGCert is delivered at Faculty level. Training takes place in an interdisciplinary environment. It is relevant to students from a wide range of disciplines.
It is also open to international students in the second or third year of PhD courses in their own country who want to study abroad for a minimum of six months.

Information for international students
English Language requirements: Direct Entry : IELTS 6.5 overall (with a minimum of 5.5 in all sub-skills). If you have lower English Language scores, you may be accepted onto a Pre-sessional English Language course.
