Entry requirements

You must hold exemption from the RIBA Part II examinations. You must also: •have completed at least 12 months practical training •be employed in an approved architectural practice or related organisation.

Course content

Our Architectural Practice and Management PGDip prepares you for employment as an architect, to take full responsibility as a practising professional, and to understand your role and obligations in the construction industry and society.

This course is designed for graduates who are employed in an architect's office. It comprises supervised professional experience and you will complete:

  • a personal appraisal
  • case studies
  • practical assignments
  • taught modules

It enables you to gain exemption from the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Professional Practice final examination.

Information for international students

To study this course you need to meet our Band 3 English Language requirements: Direct Entry : IELTS 6.5 overall (with a minimum of 5.5 in all sub-skills). If you have lower English Language scores, you may be accepted onto a Pre-sessional English Language course.
