At Nottingham Law School, we are here to support you every step of the way as you prepare for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE). SQE 1 is the first milestone on your route to qualification, and our preparation course is designed to give you the skills, knowledge and confidence you need to succeed.
The course develops key knowledge and skills for legal practice, with content and assessments closely aligned to the SRA’s SQE assessment specification. You will have access to extensive learning resources, including online manuals, hundreds of SQE-style multiple-choice questions, structured revision materials and regular mock assessments to support focused revision and exam technique.
You will learn to think and act like a solicitor through CV-enhancing activities such as negotiation workshops, complemented by networking opportunities and guest lectures, helping you build confidence for legal practice.
The option of full-time or part-time study modes gives you the flexibility to work alongside your studies.

NLS Legal
As part of your journey at Nottingham Law School, you’ll have the unique opportunity to gain practical experience through NLS Legal, our on-campus law firm. NLS Legal provides students with a hands-on chance to apply their legal knowledge in real client matters, under the supervision of qualified professionals.
