Entry requirements

  • A UK honours degree (minimum 2.2) or equivalent in a technical or scientific subject, which includes, but is not limited to, sport science, biomedical, economics, information systems and multimedia.
  • Applicants with relevant employment experience or other relevant qualifications will also be considered.

Course content

This course covers the fundamentals of Data Science including Big Data infrastructure, AI and statistical analysis and the mining of data. Development of your understanding of deriving value from the data analytics functions is also a focus of this course.

You will learn how to support organisations in improving their data capture, management and analysis processes with a focus on efficiency and profit, whilst adhering to the current highest ethical standards.

Fees and funding

MSc Program-funded Scholarships (Office for Students)

The Office for Students is supporting a number of scholarships of £10,000 that aim to target students from often underrepresented in these industries particularly female, black and registered disabled students.

Other underrepresented categories include: students from POLAR Q1 and Q2, e.g. care experienced students, estranged students, Gypsy / Roma / traveller students, refugees, children from military families, veterans and partners of military personnel.

You can apply for this scholarship once you have applied and an offer from NTU to study on this course had been made. Further information about applying for this scholarship will be sent once the offer is made.

The award of the Office for Students scholarship does not exclude the students from accessing other funds, including our alumni fee discount - see below.
