Honours degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline.
Some modules require individuals to be working in the specific area of practice and/or have access to a suitable workplace setting (paid or voluntary) along with the support of a line manager and work place mentor.

Course content
This online MSc/PgDip/PgCert in Advancing Practice in Health course will appeal to a range of professionals working in a health-related field*. It has been developed in response to an appreciation that career opportunities transform over time and people and individuals may wish to expand or develop on their skills and knowledge in a particular area of practice.
The course is part of the QMU's Advancing Practice in Health Framework. It offers flexibility, both in module choice and delivery, and allows you to personalise your educational journey. The course is delivered part time online.
*eg allied health professionals, nurses, nutritionists, other professionals such as medical practitioners, pharmacists, dentists, public health, the community and the voluntary sector.
This is a part-time course that is delivered fully online. As the online teaching is asynchronous (ie not delivered in real time), it is suited to you whatever time zone you live in and whatever your working hours.
- Educationally and practice-relevant postgraduate framework: Aimed at individuals working in a health-related field or public health, the community and the voluntary sector, this course will enable you to develop your knowledge and skills in your own area or gain knowledge in another area of practice.
- Flexible study options: Follow a named route tailored to a specific health profession or select single modules for your own CPD. Full and part-time options available. Fully delivered online.
- Tailor your own pathway: Based on a model of collaborative multi-professional learning and housed in QMU's Division of Dietetics, Nutrition and Biological Sciences, Physiotherapy, Podiatry and Radiography, there are plenty of modules available progress in your current area or gain knowledge in another.
Information for international students
- You will be required to provide evidence of English language competence at no less than IELTS 6.5 with no individual component score less than 6.0.
- Please note as this course is fully online, the University cannot sponsor International students to study here on Student visa.
