A good upper second class honours degree or equivalent in any subject. For non-native English speakers, IELTS 7.0 overall with 6.0 in writing component.or equivalent is required.

Course content

This programme will provide you with a critical understanding of how accounting informs the management of resources in the corporate and non-corporate spheres. It will provide you with innovative analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as other practical skills for employability.
The programme offers specialised, practical and theoretical education in the area of accounting and the management of resources. It is a programme with contemporary relevance and is designed for students who are interested in a senior career in the corporate and non-corporate spheres.
The programme will also equip you with a theoretical and practical knowledge of accounting and its role in recording, influencing and modifying the management of organisation resources in a complex financialised world. The Accounting and Management MSc will provide you with an innovative framework for critical investigation. It locates the management of resources within accounting and business models.
This programme is supported by academics who are undertaking relevant policy research, as well as informing research into the areas of business models, corporate financial reporting and sustainability.
Lectures and seminars are also supported by practitioner inputs and webinars which will enhance your learning experience. This is a postgraduate programme that will build on your understanding of the management and stewardship of resources across the corporate, public and voluntary sectors.

Students on the Accounting and Management MSc have the opportunity to take the strategic level gateway entry case study to the CIMA professional qualifications. This would normally be in the second semester. The Masters Gateway is an accelerated route to the CIMA professional qualification and the globally recognised CGMA designation. A fee is applicable and is paid directly to CIMA.

The Accounting and Management MSc is currently available for one year full-time study. There are four taught modules per semester, followed by examinations and a dissertation.
