Entry requirements

You should have an upper-second class honours degree (2:1), or overseas equivalent, in economics or a related subject. A good basic knowledge of relevant statistical theory and mathematics is also required.

If your first language is not English, you must provide evidence of your English language proficiency - 6.5 IELTS or equivalent is required. International applicants Students from outside of the UK help form a global community here at Queen Mary.

Course content

The MSc in Finance and Econometrics is a specialist degree aimed at providing you with rigorous training and a strong analytical background in finance, financial economics and econometrics. This masters degree is ideal for those who aim to pursue careers as financial economists, quantitative analysts and financial econometricians in the private sector, in the government or in international financial institutions.
