Master´s Programme in Physics, specialisation General Physics
Entry requirements
Specific entry requirements: To be admitted to the programme, knowledge equivalent to a Bachelor of Science degree is required, including at least 90 higher education credits in physics.
Months of entry
August, September
Course content
General Physics study path is designed for students who have not yet decided their specialization at the start of the programme or who wishes to customize their education. The programme balances experimental and theoretical physics and is directed towards questions at the front line of physics research.
The programme starts with foundations in general experimental and data analytical tools (detectors, programming for physicists, statistical methods), and a deepening of selected theoretical concepts. It then offers the students the possibility to sample a broad range of physics areas from quantum and nanoscale technologies to particle physics, attosecond physics, and a variety of domains with ramifications into astrophysics, atmospheric science, molecular biophysics, astrobiology and more.
