Entry requirements

Our preferred offer is a 2:1 degree in History, Heritage Studies, Archaeology, Classics, Egyptology, Geography, Cultural Studies, Sociology or a 2:1 degree in other arts, humanities or social science subjects, or a science-based archaeology or conservation degree. We will also consider applications from candidates with significant professional or volunteering experience in the heritage/public history sector.

The MA in Public History and Heritage is a flexible programme designed to offer academic training and and employability in the fields of public history and heritage.

A key aspect of the programme is the opportunity for students to engage both with external heritage organisations and with staff projects in heritage and public history, which are of growing importance to the College's research culture and impact strategy. Modules include the study of heritage, public history, ancient history, ancient Egyptian culture, history, Welsh identities, media, museum theory, archive/communication practice, museum practice and a work placement.
