Entry requirements

MA by Reaserahc: applicants should hold or expect to achieve a minimum of an upper second class honours degree (2:1), or equivalent, in a related subject (e.g. Modern Languages, Media Studies, or English Literature) or hold relevant work experience. English language requirement IELTS 6.5 (with minimum of 6.5 in each element) or Swansea University recognised equivalent.

MPhil: applicants should hold or expect to achieve a minimum of an upper second class honours degree (2:1), or equivalent, in a related subject. English language requirement IELTS 6.5 (with minimum of 6.5 in each element) or Swansea University recognised equivalent.

PhD: applicants should hold a minimum of an upper second class honours degree (2:1), or equivalent, and you should hold or expect to achieve a postgraduate Master’s degree in a related subject. English language requirement IELTS 6.5 (with minimum of 6.5 in each element) or Swansea University recognised equivalent.

Course content

Modern Languages at Swansea encompasses Arabic, French, German and Hispanic Studies with research strengths in written culture from the medieval period to the present day, including contemporary European cinema.
