Course content

Everything is political, and politics is everywhere. That means politics is a broad subject area, encompassing many interesting fields of study. This course was designed with flexibility in mind – you'll be able to obtain an MA in Politics, without committing to one subject area.

Through mandatory course units, you’ll learn about key themes and perspectives in political science. You’ll also be introduced to a range of research techniques and approaches.

This pathway will empower you to build your perfect degree, through a choice of optional course units including:

  • Political Parties in Contemporary Britain
  • The Politics of Money and Finance
  • The Ethics of Killing
  • Gender in Comparative Politics.

Throughout the course, you’ll develop skills in research, critical enquiry and creative thinking, preparing you for a stimulating and worthwhile career.
