Data skills are invaluable across the social sciences. Used responsibly, big data can help you to interpret the myriad factors at play in the study of social phenomena.

As the study of large populations, statistics are in an inherent part of demography. On this pathway, you’ll develop the essential skills and knowledge required for excellence in population research.

Some of the key skills you’ll learn are:

  • Advanced data analysis

  • Statistical modelling
  • Demographic forecasting

You’ll delve into critical demographic themes, including fertility, mortality, migration, and ageing trends and acquire practical experience through the application of quantitative and qualitative research techniques.
