Entry requirements
2:1 Honours degree or postgraduate diploma from a UK university (or overseas equivalent).
This is a highly mathematical programme that requires students to be comfortable with numbers and mathematic techniques. Applicants with prior study in a highly quantitative subject area such as Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance or Science are encouraged to apply. Good programming skills and/or two years relevant work experience are not strict requirements but will add weight to an application.

Our MSc Financial Technology programme is interdisciplinary. It combines finance, machine learning, AI, blockchain technology and cybersecurity with computer programming and data analytics. The course is delivered by the Business School, School of Computer Science and financial technology experts from industry.

Information for international students
For this course we require IELTS 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in any band, which is equivalent to:
- TOEFL: 88 overall with no less than 21 in Reading, 20 Listening, 22 Speaking and 21 in Writing
- Pearson Test of English (PTE): Academic 67 with no less than 64 in all four skills
- Cambridge English: C1 Advanced - minimum overall score of 176, with no less than 169 in any component
- LanguageCert ESOL SELT (UKVI): B2 'Communicator' with no less than 33 in each skill
