Course content

Sustainability is a global priority. There is a need to understand more about the human impact on the environment and the environmental laws and regulations being put in place to help achieve an environmentally sound future for all.

This accredited Environmental Assessment and Management MSc equips students with a comprehensive understanding of methods for assessing and managing the environmental impacts of policies, plans, programmes, projects and organisations. It provides an overview of the legal and institutional frameworks in which they operate relating to the UK, Europe and the international community.

Learning with a course team active in research and consultancy students explore and evaluate environmental sustainability and the practical application of environmental assessment and management at both local and policy level. Students learn to identify and analyse current and future problems and apply processes to real-world situations.

Aspects of the course are delivered by industry specialists including auditors and environmental law practitioners who share their professional experience.
