STEM Research Internships (summer school)
Entry requirements
Age: 18 or over
Study level: International undergraduates currently studying a subject aligned to the chosen primary research project with at least two years of their degree completed by the start of the summer
Academic: GPA equivalent to 60–63% on the UK scale, C on the ECTS scale, or 3.0 on a 4.0 GPA scale
English language: you meet our requirements if:
- you are a native speaker; or
- your degree is taught in English; or
- you meet our Profile E language requirements. Visit the page and select the 'English Language Proficiency Tests' tab for more information.
For this programme, we also accept CET-4 scores of at least 550 and CET-6 scores of at least 520.

The Bristol Summer team invite current international undergraduate students to join our dynamic, immersive short-term summer programmes at the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom. STEM Research Internships is a summer school with a difference. you'll build your own research pathway under the supportive supervision of our world-class researchers while gaining academic credit. You'll develop your teamwork, clinical and scientific inquiry, scientific referencing, and presentation skills.
Our programmes include catered accommodation in a University of Bristol hall of residence and an exciting leisure and social programme. You'll also receive support from a team of dedicated summer mentors and have full access to the University's pastoral and student services.
