Course content

This BDS course is only available to international students.

Our Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) - International Route is designed for overseas qualified dentists and allows entry to our BDS UK programme after the third year.

This 18-month programme allows overseas qualified dentists to enter our BDS course after Year 3, providing you meet the entry requirements. You'll then study and be assessed in the curriculum of Years 4 and 5.

You'll undertake practical and clinical components in an Enhanced Training Practice in the UK and in our Phantom Head facilities at our Preston Campus. The knowledge component of the programme is delivered online and in face-to-face seminars and lectures.

We are working with {my}dentist, the UK’s leading provider of dental services, to deliver this course. {my}dentist will provide all successful applicants with £12,000 of financial support during the course, as well as providing an opportunity for students to earn a further £12,000, subject to meeting the necessary requirements. Upon successful graduation, you will be able to apply for an associate contract at one of {my}dentist’s 600 dental practices nationwide. You'll then be able to undertake a paid mentorship to secure a performer number, allowing you to deliver dental services on the NHS.
