Entry requirements

You should have, or expect to have, a degree in Computing, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering or related title, with a grade equivalent to at least a Class 2.2 Honours degree from a UK university, or equivalent qualifications.

Course content

Develop your skills, knowledge, and understanding of computing and software development whilst designing, developing and producing computer software packages, ensuring you have the skills required to work in the field of computing.

This course is highly flexible with a range of modules available, including computer graphics, big data analysis, and agile engineering, allowing you to shape your study to fit your chosen path.

Our regular seminars and guest speakers allow you to learn from those working within the industry, increasing your understanding of real life situations you could face in your career.

You will also have access to a range of conventional and specialised equipment and software, such as Windows Azure, Teradata, and Tableau, helping to further develop your skills and understanding.

Under the guidance of our academic staff, you will undertake a major software development project. Recent projects examples have looked at helping people to remember strong passwords and developing a 3D android game.
