Master’s Programme in Contemporary Societies
Develop the expertise to analyse and understand the complexities of modern societies through specialised studies in Consumption and Markets, Global Development Studies, Social and Cultural Anthropology, Social and Public Policy, Social Data Science, Social Psychology, or Sociology.
How can we make sense of today’s rapidly changing world?
As societies grow more diverse and evolve at an accelerating pace—shaped by rising inequalities, datafication, and digitalisation—the demand for professionals who can critically analyse these transformations continues to increase. In the Master’s Programme in Contemporary Societies (COS), you will gain the knowledge and skills to interpret and address these complex dynamics.
The programme offers seven discipline-based study tracks, allowing you to tailor your studies to your interests. Alongside your chosen track, you will explore key thematic areas such as Data and Society, Ethnic Relations and Migration, Mind and Society, and Socio-Cultural Shifts and Sources of Inequality.
