Entry requirements

A Bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons) or equivalent, usually in business, management or the social sciences.

Quantitative skills are desirable but not essential. A willingness to engage with quantitative materials is required. Those with a degree in a non-business/social science subject will be considered on an individual basis. Developed with world-leading experts in data analytics and HR professionals, this innovative course provides you with an in-depth, critical understanding of strategic human resource management, alongside principles and concepts underpinning data science and statistics.

In addition to mastering cutting-edge data analytics methods, you’ll gain a practical understanding of how these principles and concepts can be applied in the fields of HR and people management.

The course will develop your skills in ‘data translation’. You'll learn how to identify people-related business problems, understand how analytics can provide solutions for these problems and identify and explain actionable insights.

You’ll learn alongside inspirational academics who are highly qualified teaching staff with extensive research expertise and consultancy experience in the field of HR analytics. You’ll gain knowledge and understanding of advanced HRM concepts.

Our MSc Data Analytics and HRM is fully accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the only HR institution in the world to recognise HR professionals through chartered membership.

This course will allow you to satisfy the entry requirements for associate CIPD membership and chartered CIPD membership (if you have relevant work experience).

Professional Development and CIPD Membership

During you time at Leeds you'll also attend professional skill workshops as part of your regular timetable. These practical sessions are taught by business professionals and allow you to gain skills and insight to help you to cope effectively with the challenges of the world of work upon graduation.

You can choose to enhance your studies by opting to gain Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) membership alongside your degree. If you choose to gain Associate CIPD membership the requirements for CIPD qualification will be explained in detail during your Induction programme.
