A 2.1 honours degree or equivalent in a relevant subject e.g. mathematics, physics, accounting, finance, economics, or computing.
Months of entry
As part of this programme, you will learn about advanced finance concepts as well as acquiring knowledge of quantitative, mathematical, analytical and research skills. During the course you will cover key topics including financial derivative pricing, discrete and continuous time models, risk management and portfolio optimisation, as well as statistical methods for finance.
The course is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge that are highly sought after in the financial sector, particularly by banks, investment and consultancy companies. It is also an excellent qualification if you are interested in pursuing postgraduate research or a PhD, and is recognised by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).
