Entry requirements

Applicants should normally hold a UK second-class honours degree (2:2 or above) or international equivalent from a recognised university.

Applications from a wide range of academic backgrounds are welcomed. Non-graduates with appropriate professional qualifications or relevant work experience may be considered on an individual basis.

Applicants are expected to apply and register for the full Master’s award.

Applicants must meet the University’s English language requirements. Pre-sessional English courses are available to support students in reaching the required level for postgraduate study.

Course content

The MSc Digital Marketing is a one-year full-time or two-year part-time postgraduate degree designed to equip you with the strategic, analytical and practical skills required to succeed in today’s digital marketing landscape.

The programme develops your ability to design, implement and evaluate digital marketing strategies in a socially responsible and globally informed context. You will explore areas such as data and analytics, online consumer psychology, social media and influencer marketing, strategic marketing and emerging digital issues, including sustainability, privacy and artificial intelligence.

A strong emphasis is placed on data-driven decision-making and ethical practice. You will develop advanced research capability through Business Research Methods and complete either a dissertation or consultancy project, applying your knowledge to a real organisational challenge.

Accredited by the Institute of Data and Marketing (IDM) and the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), the programme supports professional recognition and industry engagement. Graduates are prepared for roles across digital marketing, communications, analytics and strategy within large organisations, SMEs and marketing agencies.
