Course content

Choreomundus is a unique Erasmus Mundus joint Master’s programme delivered by a consortium of leading European universities. The course offers an international and interdisciplinary approach to dance as embodied knowledge, cultural heritage, and contemporary practice.

Over two years of full-time study, you will explore dance from comparative, cross-cultural, theoretical, and applied perspectives. The programme combines practical studio work with critical research, focusing on areas such as dance heritage, documentation, motion capture, facilitation in social contexts, and performance in museums and historic sites. A substantial dissertation forms the culmination of your studies.

Students study across multiple European institutions, gaining exposure to diverse cultural contexts and research traditions. This mobility enhances your understanding of dance as intangible cultural heritage and equips you with specialist skills in documentation, analysis, and preservation.

Graduates are prepared for careers in heritage organisations, cultural institutions, museums, archives, community engagement projects, and further doctoral research.
