The MSc Cyber Security Technology (Conversion) is designed to provide a supportive pathway into the cyber security profession for graduates from non-computing and non-STEM backgrounds. The programme introduces the essential principles of computing, networking, and cyber security, enabling you to develop technical knowledge and professional skills from the ground up.
Through a structured and practice-focused curriculum, you will explore key areas including systems and network security, cyber security operations, digital forensics, and cyber risk management. Teaching combines lectures, guided laboratory activities, workshops, and problem-based learning to help you apply concepts to realistic cyber security scenarios.
Aligned with the Cyber Security Body of Knowledge, the programme also develops analytical thinking, ethical awareness, teamwork, and professional communication. By the end of the course, you will have built the technical foundation and practical experience required for entry-level roles in cyber security and related digital security environments.
