You’ll need a 2:1 degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, information technology, electronic engineering or cyber security. There are also specific module requirements, please see the details on the course page of our website.

Course content

Cyber security is critically important to commercial and academic organisations, as well as to governments and their citizens.
On this one-year MSc you'll gain a well-rounded, multidisciplinary view of the subject area, embracing not only the technical subjects, but also aspects of criminology, risk management, law and social sciences.
The programme has National Cyber Security Centre certification and we are recognised as an Academic Centre of Excellence in both Cyber Security Education and Cyber Security Research by the UK government.

Information for international students

If English is not your first language, you will need to demonstrate your English ability by meeting our Band C requirements: IELTS 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in all components. For information on other accepted English language tests, please see our website.
