Course content

This one-year MSc programme will prepare you to become a proficient data scientist, developing your specialist knowledge in subjects that are crucial for mastering the vast and ever-more complex information landscape that is characteristic of modern, digitally empowered organisations. You will gain advanced knowledge in areas such as data mining, machine learning, and data visualisation, including state-of-the-art techniques, programming toolkits, and industrial and societal application scenarios. In an era increasingly shaped by Generative AI, where data is the foundational fuel driving innovation, this programme equips you with skills to harness, analyse, and apply data effectively in this exciting new landscape.

Information for international students

If English is not your first language, you will need to demonstrate your English ability by meeting our Band C requirements: IELTS 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in all components. For information on other accepted English language tests, please see our website.
