Course content

This 2-year master's is ideal if you didn't graduate in civil engineering, but have maths and physics skills. You’ll spend your first year studying key topics and improving your knowledge to prepare for your second year, when you’ll join the full-time MSc Civil Engineering course.

You'll learn the skills to solve problems in building design, water supply, infrastructure, structural and bridge engineering, geotechnical engineering, and earthquake engineering.

You'll study structural, geotechnical, environmental, coastal and maritime and transportation and management engineering.

Information for international students

All applicants must demonstrate they possess at least a minimum standard of English language proficiency:
Band C, IELTS 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in all components.
